Wake Up Saints! Arise!

Recently we have seen many well known evangelical pastors calling for Christians to repent and pray for our nation in an effort to lead us back to a Nation founded under God. It looks almost impossible with what is going on in our government; however, remember that we serve a mighty and powerful God. His word says: (Jeremiah 32:26-27) Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah, saying, Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

There is a burden on the heart of the Saints which means there is a burden on Gods heart! Are we not the sheep that hear his voice? What is he saying? It is clear that this is a season that the Lord wants our eyes fixed on him. A time to set aside all selfish desires, distractions and seek God will all of our heart in prayer, repentance and love. There is no doubt that we are in hard and difficult times. If we do not take action as a body of Christ then we will see much more difficult times.

There seems to be an underlying mind set that has crept in and over America. There is a cloud of fear and hopelessness which has set in motion a destructive attitude of despondency!

As followers of Christ Jesus we know that as we press in we are building character and obtaining strength and courage to handle more difficult tasks. We make every concerted effort to persevere at all costs and keep our eyes fixed on the Lord Jesus and not the things of this world that are distracting us. We know that the Lord will take care of his own so we put our trust in Jesus, His word says: (Psalm 84:12) O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

To be a Child of God means that we walk in his light and truth. We are to love God with all of our might and strength, and then our neighbors. We are to walk in a position of authority as a child of the Lord God most high with dignity and honor. We, as the church stand for moral integrity and the majority of us walk with a heart of humility. All the children of God walk in righteousness and peace. ARISE and WAKE UP Saints! Shake off this cloud of despondency and take action on your knees and pray! Cry out to Jehovah for repentance and mercy. Remember his word: (Isaiah 32:17) And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

If you are being pulled away by the things of this world, I challenge you to strike up a new found passion for your Lord Jesus, your redeemer and Savior who came to die for the sins of the world. See the value in your efforts, participate and reach out to others that are hurting and lonely. Encourage them to press forward and pray together. Get involved, make a difference. We are called to prayer; in fact, we are called to pray without ceasing! I hope you will start to make prayer a daily part of your life. As you pray to the Lord you will begin to see changes in yourself and then answers to prayers. It is beautiful! God is truly faithful, let us be the same. God Bless.
