Are You Striving On Your Own or Trusting in the LORD?

Jeremiah 9: 23-24

Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

The scripture above says that we should glory in knowing and understanding our God. Do you know and understand the ways of the LORD God Almighty? There are many times that we feel totally secure in all of our ways and do not seek his face at all. More often, we seem to seek him when we encounter problems that require a supernatural intervention. Many even say, why should we seek God when I have everything that I possibly need. When we walk day to day relying on our own wisdom and strength there becomes a false sense of security. The LORD tells us that we should not glory in our own wealth, wisdom, strength and power. We are to glory in him and his ways. After all, every good thing and blessing comes from above. If you are not seeking the LORD daily in prayer and asking him which way to go or what to do, then what confidence do you have that you are walking out his divine plan and desire for your life? He has set you here on earth for a reason. Each of us have a divine destiny to walk out which is beautiful and joyous. This walk is beyond any earthly happiness that we seek after daily. His path takes us away from our self and our eyes are now on him and his ways. It is then that we can be used for his purposes and are able to love others. There is no more striving or stressing about daily life as the LORD takes our burdens, he becomes our provider as we go forth in his peace. Blessing to you and yours.
