The Lord Jesus said in John 9:4: We must work the works of Him Who
sent Me and be
busy with His business while it is daylight; night is coming on, when no man
can work.
Attention ALL Watchmen on the Walls. The
gatekeeper position as a watchman on the wall is critical. During biblical
ancient times the watchman would sit on a tower overlooking the entire city,
ready to alert of any impending danger. Security was not complete without
watchmen in their places, shouting, or reporting what they saw that was out of
the ordinary. If they did not stay awake and sound the alarm it would be
devastating for an entire city. A watchmen is a calling from God. Now is a critical
time for intercession. Jesus instructs us to meet with him and pray the Fathers
will as he releases it to us. We are to be about our Fathers business.
I suspect some of Gods Watchmen may find the job to be lonely
and discouraging at times. You may find yourself growing tired with all the
push back and challenges and not putting in as much effort as you use to. Some
may have given up and left their calling while others have grown weary when the
warnings are rejected. Many ask is this work making a difference, is there
tangible value? The answer is a resounding yes.
The real question to ponder
today is what if there was no one watching? The watching and reporting role is
critical to the work of the kingdom of God. The results impact nations, cities,
communities, households and individuals.
Continue to be the eyes, ears and
voice on the wall. Remain diligent and steadfast at your post. We are part of Gods plan for all of humanity. You are making an eternal difference!
